I want to upgrade my PC..

.. But I need help from you guys!
I'm a noob at this stuff. (Always been a console gamer)
What I currently have in my pc;
ATI Radeon HD 5670
Quadcore AMD Phenom II X4 925 Processor
4GB DDR3 RAM

What I'd like to have;
A better video card
4 more gigs of ram.

But I don't know what to buy first and where to buy it from. HELP.

Shop around www.newegg.com, that's where I buy all my PC parts from, they haven't let me down yet. As for what to get first, I would buy the more expensive things (that you can afford) and then get the cheaper stuff afterwards.

RAM is cheap enough, but the graphics card will cost a limb or so. Please specify what you're willing to pay for, 100 USD? 200 USD?

get that stuff from newegg.com
make sure everything you want to buy is compatible with your motherboard
when in doubt, post all your specs to a techy forum and pray that someone will tell you if that stuff works together (or educate yourself (easier))

Also with a larger video card, depending on your current case, you might have to increase the size of it.

Another concern is power, you probably need somewhere around 500 Watts, make sure you pick ones that are 80+ certified or better (bronze, silver, gold etc). In the long run it will save you money.

If you want to play Battlefield 3 on High, in 1920 x 1080 with 50 frames per second. You will need Radeon 6870.

4gigs of ram is enough, really...
If you want new video-card, just look into some of the newer ATI-models.

I disagree with Pieter, I would go at least 6gb of ram, providing you are running 64bit OS. The first thing i would do is update the video card. While more expensive, you will see greater gain through that then the RAM. Make sure your CPU is also up to scratch and you have at least a 500W power supply. If there isn't enough power, you will have issues, like chips dying. Do it right and you will have a beast of a PC.

You dont need more ram unless you're going to be running 2 versions of window all the time.

Just got a new laptop too... I'm a n00b as well, but I heard it's better to have more than one core processor. Dual core or better!

If you want really great performance get a 6870 or a 560 ti, best low-high range cards on the market for now. RAM is incredibly cheap you can buy a 4GB chip for $25 literally.

Definitely newegg.com for the purchase. I just got an ATI 6950 which is pretty decent from there.
