The first Ninja Gaiden 3 details have arrived, via the pages of Official PlayStation Magazine US.
At first glance it sounds like what you'd expect; tons of blood, a solid 60fps framerate and Ryu slicing up soldiers in a dark rainy street, before climbing up the side of a wall with daggers.
In more good news for fans, Team Ninja's told OPM it won't be toning down the difficulty of the game for casual gamers.
Ninja Gaiden 3 is said to carry a larger emphasis on Ryu's backstory, with no other playable characters planned at this stage.
In a further step towards building deeper story progression, the developer's also axed the game's weapon store, and Ryu's tools will now upgrade as the game progresses.
More interesting are the developer's plans for multiplayer; Team Ninja says the new game will support up to eight players in co-op and versus modes, and it's even considering support for PlayStation Move.
Speaking with OXM earlier this year Hayashi promised that the third instalment in the gore-fest series will be a "paradigm shift", and won't repeat the over-familiar design some criticised in Ninja Gaiden 2.
Ninjas online? Is ok with me!
